These pliers have steel jaws and are spring loaded for easy gripping and reduced hand fatigue.
They also have comfortable grip handles.

The round nose pliers are perfect for creating curls and loops on wire but are no good for gripping.

The chain nose pliers are similar to the round nose pliers except that the inside jaw is flat making them more suitable for gripping. Having a tapered tip they make them useful for getting into small places like tucking in the end of wire when wirewrapping.
